Prof. Dr. Zehra Altınay graduated from the Faculty of Communication, Department of Public Relations and Advertising. She completed his master's degree on roles in distance education in the field of Educational Sciences. In 2008, she completed her doctorate in the field of Educational Administration at Near East University. She completed a thesis on total quality management in distance education. In 2010, she completed her doctoral degree at Middlesex University with her doctoral dissertation on course design and communication in an online learning environment in Educational Technology.

She has been conducting academic studies since 2002. Between 2002 and 2010, she worked as an assistant, part-time lecturer, and carried out scientific activities in the academic world, and took part in projects, articles and academic studies based on international cooperation, on subjects such as distance education, open lectures, and communication. It has over 1000 citations with these studies.

Since 2002, Prof. Dr. Zehra Altınay has given various seminars and participated in seminars for both professional and academic development. She gives undergraduate courses such as classroom management, community service, barrier-free technologies, organizational behavior, and communication within the scope of Educational Sciences; she teaches postgraduate courses such as organizational communication, organizational culture, information management, information technologies in management. Prof. Dr. Zehra Altınay is a full-time faculty member at Near East University as the Head of the Department of Educational Sciences. Previously, she carried out accreditation studies while he was the head of the Computer Education and Instructional Technologies Department. He is a member of the Board of Graduate Education Institute. Prof. Dr. Zehra Altınay is the chair of the ethics committee conducted in the field of educational sciences within the Institute of Graduate Studies. At the same time, she is the Head of Societal Research and Development Center affiliated with the Center of Excellence. As the chair of Disability Rights Monitoring Committee, she also works on projects about disability and rights. She works as an editor and referee in international journals and books, especially on disability and inclusive education. Within the scope of the Social Research and Development Center's activities, it conducts collaborative scientific studies on disabled children, women, open educational resources, unobstructed tourism, and education without disabilities. During the pandemic period, she carries events and projects with many institutions, organizations and universities in these areas, and continue to publish many scientific publications on institutional cooperation, new technologies, social benefits and up-to-date.
