Dr. Neriman SOYKUNT

Dr.Neriman Soykunt was born in 1992 in Morphou / Cyprus. She completed her undergraduate education at the Department of Music Teaching at Eastern Mediterranean University and graduated in 2013. Immediately after, she continued her graduate education at the Eastern Mediterranean University Institute of Educational Sciences, Program Development and Teaching Department and completed her education in 2015. After her graduate education, she started her doctorate education in the Near East University Institute of Educational Sciences, Department of Music Education in 2015. While she was continuing her doctorate education, she won the Diploma Course training at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music Kodaly Institute in Hungary with the European Union scholarship and completed this training in 2019 and returned to the island. She completed her doctorate education in February 2021. She started her career as a research assistant in the Department of Music Teaching at Eastern Mediterranean University between 2013-2015. Since 2019, she has been working as a lecturer in the Department of Music Teaching at Near East University.

Dr. Neriman Soykunt, who has articles published in national and international indexed journals, has academic interests in music education approaches such as Kodaly and Orff approaches, classroom music education methods, preschool and primary school music education, out of school music teaching methods, viola and violin education.
