NEU Department of Special Education was represented at 9th National Special Education Student Congress which was held at Hatay on 24-26 April.

According to the explanation of Near East University Directorate of Press and Public Relations, NEU Atatürk Faculty of Education, Department of Special Education lecturers Assist. Prof. Dr. Başak Bağlama, MSc. Meltem Haksız, MSc. Beria Gökaydın represented Near East University with their scientific work at 9th National Special Education Student Congress in which a variety of academicians, eductors and students from special education field participated.

In the congress which was organized by Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Department of Special Education, NEU Atatürk Faculty of Education, Chair of Department of Special Education Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mukaddes Sakallı Demirok and lecturers Assist. Prof. Dr. Başak Bağlama, MSc. Meltem Haksız, MSc. Beria Gökaydın and students from the Department of Special Education presented 4 oral presentations and 3 poster presentations and their presentations attracted a lot of attention.

Lecturers who participated to the congress, presented thanks to Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakki Mirici, Dean of Atatürk Faculty of Education for his contributions and to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mukaddes Sakallı Demirok for her support and recommendations, gave their participation of certificates and stated that they will continue to work in the field of special education.

Students of Department of Special Education: Fatma Yıldırım, Yağmur Kılıç, Yaren Saban, Esmanur Yıldırım, Zalihe Dağaştı, Ezgi Aslan, Kader Meydanoğulları, Merve Dönmez and Sibel Doğru Zorman participated to the congress with their oral presentations and Dilem Uçar, Fırat Can, Kübra Yiğitalp, Münevver Gündüz, Numan Hazır, Merve Abacılar, Hilda Tayfun, Hande Baydı and Dilay Yeşilırmak actively participated to the congress with poster presentations.
