Near East University Department of Music Education Lecturer Pianist Specialist Atakan Sarı and Lecturer Pianist Gözdem İlkay, took part at evaluation committee in child, young and adult categories and gave 4 hand concerts for 3 days at Gülsin Onay Piano Festival organized by Cyprus Polyphonic Choirs Association, Famagusta Municipality and Eastern Mediterranean University. Our postgraduate student Gizel AKTUĞ from the Department of Music Education of the Fine Arts Education Department of our university was awarded the Special Jury Award. Many workshops, performances, seminars and recitals were held during the festival, where the opening recital was held by Pianist State Artist Gülsin Onay. Head of the Department of Music Education of Near East University Assist. Prof. Dr. Emine Kıvanç ÖZTUĞ and Lecturer Pianist Gözdem İlkay actively participated in “New Trends in Piano Education” presentation by Prof. Dr. Belir TECİMER.
