“Importance of Family Involvement in Special Education and Experiences of the Families” Panel was held by Department of Special Education within “3 December Disabled People Day”. Msc. Cahit NURİ who is lecturer in the department of Special Education emphasized the importance of family involvement in special education and mentioned about the roles of teachers in this process. Gül Nihal SARI who is a special education teacher and a mother of a gifted child talked about her experiences and indicated that practices for gifted children need to be more prevalent.
