The Association for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Educational Programs (EPDAD), an external evaluation body established to accredit educational faculties programs, contributes to improve the quality of education provided in the faculties of education. Near East University was once again the first and only university in North Cyprus to receive accreditation from EPDAD.

Accreditation process started in February 2018 for the evaluation of English Language Teaching and Computer Education and Instructional Technologies Undergraduate Programs affiliated to Atatürk Faculty of Education within the intensive work of the teams established in related departments and the cooperation of Near East University Quality and Accreditation Coordination Department in March 2019 was completed after the campus visit of The EPDAD evaluation team. After an intensive preparation process, the evaluation team, who made on-site investigations, have learned about our programs at various points under different topics such as program content, preparation and presentation of courses, regulations in the fields of application, faculty-school cooperation, teaching staff, academic guidance, facilities and hardware. At the end of the observations and examinations, the evaluation of the evaluation team was quite satisfied.

Information on English Language Teaching and Computer and Instructional Technology Teaching Departments approved by EPDAD in terms of compliance with quality standards will be included in the OSYM guide and candidates will be informed about the departments where they can receive quality education.
