Tülay KAYA TEKMAN was born in Ankara in 1986. She graduated from Turkish Language Teaching Department at the Faculty of Education of Cyprus International University in 2012. She completed her master's degree in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the Institute of Educational Sciences at Near East University in 2013, and her doctoral degree in the same department in 2024. From 2013 to 2021, she worked in the Turkish Language Teaching Department at Near East University. Since 2022, she has been working at the Turkish Preparatory School.

Dr. Tülay KAYA TEKMAN has published articles in national and international indexed journals and has given talks and presentations at conferences and symposiums. Her academic interests include Turkish reading skills, writing skills, and curriculum development and evaluation studies. She is married and has one child.
